This is Awearers
look good.
feel good.
do good.
with zero plastic
Awearers is a modern womenswear brand built on a simple belief: fashion should feel good on the body, on the conscience, and on the planet.
Our pieces are minimal yet distinctive, designed for movement, expression, and longevity. Every silhouette is defined by structure, balance, and restraint, with fit and construction guiding design decisions from the very beginning.
We don’t believe sustainability is the consumer’s job. It’s ours.
The Founder

I am Alina Rugină, a pattern maker and womenswear specialist.
My expertise lies in garment construction. I work with clothing as a system: structure, fit, finishing, and quality, refined through years of developing womenswear across luxury, premium, and large-scale production.
Pattern making is the foundation of Awearers. It is where design becomes innovation.
Each garment is developed using 3D CAD systems and built on realistic digital avatars, allowing clothing to respond to real anatomy and movement, not idealised standards. This approach enables modern silhouettes with adaptable fit and precision, without reliance on synthetic materials or rigid sizing.

Zero plastic in fashion exists, but rarely at this level of construction and refinement.
Awearers garments are engineered from the inside out to eliminate plastic entirely. We avoid polyester in all forms, including thread, interfacing, and hidden components, and replace conventional trims with innovative, biodegradable alternatives.
Our garments use some of the first solutions of their kind:
-
Biodegradable fusings made from organic cotton and plant-based adhesive
-
Elastic made from natural rubber covered in organic cotton, developed by the first supplier to bring this innovation to market
-
Corozo buttons derived from natural seeds, replacing plastic and metal closures
No metal zippers. No synthetic hardware. No compromises.
This level of innovation requires engineering, restraint, and time, but it allows modern, fitted garments to exist without plastic.
Responsability

The fashion industry generates tens of millions of tonnes of textile waste every year. Synthetic fibres persist for centuries, shedding microplastics that pollute oceans, damage biodiversity, and enter the food chain.
We are not contributing to that future.
Awearers is built to reduce harm through conscious construction, limited production, and material honesty.
Cruelty-free by choice

Awearers is cruelty-free.
We choose not to work with silk or wool. Conventional silk production involves killing silkworms before they complete their life cycle, before they have the chance to become butterflies and fly. Large-scale wool production is tied to practices that prioritise efficiency over animal welfare, from invasive procedures to early slaughter once animals are no longer considered productive.
Clothing does not need to come from suffering to be refined, desirable, or well made. We believe innovation should move fashion forward without exploiting life itself.
